PT MODERN INTERNASIONAL TBK. WAS FOUNDED ON MAY 12, 1971 UNDER THE NAME OF PT MODERN PHOTO FILM COMPANY

PT Modern Internasional Tbk. was founded on May 12, 1971 under the name of PT Modern Photo Film Company. Having undergone several changes in the Articles of Association of the Company, by the Notarial Act Budiarti Karnadi, SH No. 48, dated May 26, 1997, regarding changes to the Articles of Association of the Company, including change of the Company name, became PT Modern Photo Tbk and in June 2007, with the global business changes that happened, PT Modern Photo Tbk. changed its name to PT Modern Internasional Tbk. and since 1971, the Company has become the sole distributor for all Fujifilm Japan products in Indonesia.

The Company is engaged in Industrial Imaging product such as medical equipment, graphic art and document solution by carrying various brands.The Company is also developing Convenience Store chain which focus on fresh food and beverages as well as other convenience items.

In accordance with the vision KEEP FIGHTING & WIN and through 6R strategy undertaken by the Company which are the Business Repositioning, Business Reinvent, Business Process Reengineering, Right Sizing and Resource Allocation, the Company directed its main business focus to Convenience Store business and continued the Industrial Imaging business to fulfill the market demand. 
 

Seeing the performance achieved in 2012 with a focus on strategy and business in the field of Convenience Store and Industrial Imaging, the Company and its Subsidiaries continued in developing some activities to support focusing on several divisions as follows:
• In Industrial Office Imaging business, focused on providing Multifunction Color Copier through a document management solution that able to promote cost efficiency and environmental friendly based.
• In Industrial Medical business, focused on providing X-Ray film product and Fujifilm Computed Radiography equipment, X-Ray unit Shimadzu, Hologic Insight Surgical Mini C-Arm for hospitals and clinics.
• In Industrial Graphic Arts business, focused on providing plates and CTP (Computer to Plate) equipment and Fujifilm digital printing for printing industry.
• In Digital Imaging business, the Company will maintain its business units as long as possible and as profitable as it could by focusing on retail photography and also focused in digital printing solutions and creative solutions such as MPrisa and Photobook.
• In Cellular Pre Paid Reload business, by developing E-Reload product through the banking network in collaboration with various leading operators such as Telkmosel, Indosat, XL, Bakrie Telecom, and other telecommunication operators in Indonesia to be marketed through Fuji Image Plaza and Fujifilm Digital Imaging.
 
Until now the Company’s products and services was presented to all business partners and customers through 1200 photography outlets that spread in 16 branches throughout Indonesia.

The Company provides full service team, from sales force, technicians and after sales service to our business partners and customers at each branch so that all products and services needed will be enjoyed by the end customers throughout Indonesia. Until the year 2012, PT Modern Internasional Tbk. Has developed a total employee of 2.510.  Modern Internasional MDRN  


Carrying a strategy that is more focused and aggressive in the year 2010, this subsidiary was focused to carry the Office Imaging division is positioning itself as a “Solution Provider” that promotes cost efficient and environmental friendly also focus on Multifunction Color Copier selling to generate great result.With more marketing programs that meet the market demand, this division has done so many exhibitions at the potential office location. In the exhibition consumers could  directly see the product demos even  get the chance to conduct  a  demo  at  their  oi   ce with  an  existing machine, also equipment demo that will be conduct  at  the RICOH  Showroom head  office.This division also provides big support  for the consumer, not only providing RICOH  document solutions,  but also support the internal  program carrying the “Go Green” theme in accordance with the focus of RICOH Corporation, as  the global mother company by carrying the vision “Your Office is  the Part of the Environment” . Also did some advertising in print media segment with their executive reader target.Looking at existing trends, the Company through its Office Imaging division decided to implement some strategical  focus as  follows:

  • Positioning the Subsidiaries as a “Document Solution Provider” that is able to  promote cost efficiency and  friendly environment.
  • Expanding product segment with a  focus on developing the Multifunction Color Copier market and add  high-speed product  line.
  • Increase the growth of distribution channel by focusing development on potential office area with a strategy to cater the customer need.

Conduct more  promotion activities such as exhibitions that cater customer’s need,  demos at the site offices, collaboration improvement among dealers with dealerships gathering activities, also provide support to its dealers to attract potential customers by holding the Open House at the location of the dealer. In addition, also continue to conduct Above The Line promotion that selectively targeted the market in accordance with  division.  Modern Internasional MDRN

PT Modern Internasional Tbk gives donation to society and environment by doing CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities. These activities are as a form of Company’s concerns to balance business and social environment sectors. Other than that, these activities are performed as a donation and participation to benefit those who’re in need.

Throughout 2012, the Company has conducted several social activities, such as:

1. Batik Concern
Just as the Company’s performed in the previous years, in 2012, the Company remained focus on its commitment to conserve national culture, batik.

The Company held a batik competition, cooperated with The Indonesian Museum of Textile.

Resulted from each of the sale of these batik-packaged products to batik’s craftmen and entrepreneurs in Jakarta, so they could develop their creativities and productivities.

2. Care for the Orphans and Scavengers
As a form of Company’s concern to the less fortunate children, the Company work together with PT Bluebird arranged a watching movie together event for children from Sekolah Kami (a schoold for street children) and Yayasan Kurnia.

This event for 500 children from Sekolah Kami and Yayasan Kurnia divided in some periods. The first period had already done on October 16, 2012, located at Mega Bekasi XXI. The second and third period done on October 22, 2012 at Gading 21.

3. Break Fasting Together with the Orphans
For the purpose of establishing relationship with the community around the outlet also utilizing the holy month Ramadhan, the Company arranged break fasting together event also gave donation for the orphans who lived around the outlet area.

4. Care for Street Children
The Company, together with Yayasan Pansophia, arranged an activity with educational games for street children, and also gave a chance for all children to try and enjoy foods and beverages from the Company.

Other than those activities, the Company also conducted a special concern to religion and social community organizations which located around the office by giving regular donations, in a form of Zakat Infak and Sedekah (ZIS).  Modern Internasional MDRN
