PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia (the Company) was established on 25 June 2008. The Company was established to address the needs of mobile telecommunications industry in Indonesia. The Company engaged in telecommunication distribution channel, such as mobile phones and its parts, recharge vouchers and repair services.
 
As the company continues to grow and become a leader, the Company has a broad scope of services as well as carrying the business principle of one stop solution. PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk is widely known in the field of telecommunications as a company that sells recharge vouchers and sim cards, mobile phones and communication devices, after-sales service, as well as content service provider.
 
The Company started its business in the mobile telecommunications industry with the launch of mobile phone called Tiphone. Tiphone mobile phone comes with a modern and attractive design, and equipped with the latest features offered at an affordable price compared to other products in its class.
 
In 2010, PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk expanded its business field to repair services of mobile phones and provider of mobile phone applications and content by setting up two subsidiaries, namely PT Setia Utama Service (SUS) and PT Setia Utama Media Aplikasi (SUMA). 
 
In early 2011, the Company continued to carry out the acquisition of two companies, namely Telesindo Shop (TS) which is engaged retail and outlet, and PT Excel Utama Indonesia (EUI) which is the national dealer and distributor of XL Axiata. With this development, PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk believes that co-operation and positive contribution between the Company and it subsidiaries can improve the performance of the Company.
 
As the Company continues to grow and become the best, PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk not only focus on its core business, but also notice the importance of additional services for the ease and convenience of the consumers. Therefore, the Company completes its services by providing products of international mobile phone brands, in addition to the Tiphone brand, along with their accessories. The Company also offers repair services for hardware and software, sales of spare parts, as well as a
product gallery that is supported by the latest retail store concept.
 
Currently, the Company has become a distributor for a number of leading mobile phone brands, such as Samsung, LG, HTC, Blackberry, Apple, and also Tiphone. The Company’s seriousness to be a leading distributor is indicated by performing a number of strategic actions, such as establishing co-operation for distribution of LG mobile phones nationally, as well as the acquisition of a number of large distributors, such as PT Mitra Telekomunikasi Selular which is an importer and distributor of Apple products, as well as PT Poin Multimedia Nusantara as distributor of Samsung.
 
In new prepaid sim cards and recharge voucher sales businesses, the Company formed a partnership with PT Telekomunikasi Seluler (Telkomsel) and Telkom Flexi who are part of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk group, and PT XL Axiata Tbk.
 
The success of PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk in selling new prepaid sim cards and recharge vouchers has been recognized by a number of operators who have become partners. This is reflected by the number of awards given to the Company, such as The Best Telkomsel Distributor for 8 years in a row, and The Best XL Axiata Distributor for 4 years in a row.
 
To support all of the Company’s line of businesses and accelerate growth, in January 2012 the Company began listing its stock on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with stock code TELE.
 
In 2014, PT PINS Indonesia, a subsidiary of Telkom Group, has become one of the shareholders of the Company. With the entry of PT PINS Indonesia, the Company will focus on the distribution of Telkom Group’s products, in particular Telkomsel.

Business Overview

Our main business activities currently are trading of telecommunication devices such as cellular phones and spare parts, accessories, recharge vouchers as well as repair services and content providers through subsidiaries. Currently the majority of our consolidated revenues come from recharge vouchers and mobile phones sales. But we  also see the development of business content and after-sales services to support our business activities that will make us an integrated provider of tools and services in the telecommunication industry. 

For mobile phone recharge vouchers, we have partnership with PT Telekomunikasi Selular and PT XL Axiata Tbk as the suppliers. Through its subsidiary, PT Telesindo Shop (TS) and PT Excell Utama Indonesia (EUI), we have signed co-operation agreements with these operators. But with the entry of PT PINS Indonesia as one of the shareholdersof the Company in 2014, we will focus on the distribution of the Telkom Group’s products, particularly Telkomsel.  
 
In addition to distributing recharge vouchers and global mobile phone brands, we are also developing our own mobile phone brand. For its own brand, we do not have a dependency on suppliers. We have a partnersh with a good quality supplier from China. However, we are free to determine the supplier of mobile phones to be marketed. Prepaid



Our primary business activitiy is in the  distribution of new prepaid sim cards and recharge vouchers. For recharge vouchers, the Company sells vouchers of PT Telkomsel Seluler and Telkom Flexi who are part of of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk group and PT XL Axiata Tbk; which the Company, through TS and EUI are the authorized distributor of both operators. The recharge vouchers can come in the form of physical or electronic vouchers from Telkomsel, Telkom Flexi and XL.

The denomination values of recharge voucher range from Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 100,000 for the physical vouchers. Whereas for electronic vouchers the values range from Rp5,000 to Rp 100,000. The smaller the denomination, the higher the profit margin for the Company.  Tiphone Mobile Indonesia TELE


Mobile Phone


We are also engaged in the distribution and production of mobile phones. For mobile phone distribution, the Company has been working closely with global vendors, including Samsung, LG, iPhone, Nokia, Sony, HTC and BlackBerry. In 2013, we have made the acquisition of a distributor of Apple and Samsung, which made the Company the key player for the distribution of smartphones in Indonesia. 

In addition, we also manufacture mobile phones of Tiphone brand in China under the specifications and quality standards prescribed by the Company. To avoid the risk of dependency, we don't  have exclusivity agreements with certain suppliers. In addition to Tiphone brand, we also distribute and trade other mobile phones of various brands.

The competitive side of China mobile phone brand Tiphone is in its features, models and affordable price as well as after-sales service support. Service Center


We  also have service center which is part ofthe concept of one-stop shopping. After-sales service center offers repair services of hardware and software to consumers, sales of spare parts and product gallery where consumers can try using the products from global brands and also Tiphone brand before deciding to buy.
 
Convenience in obtaining services will also affect the level of customer satisfaction with our products. Therefore, every employee in particular the ones that deal directly with consumers will go through selective recruitment system and participate in training programs on an ongoing basis. Each Service Center is also very particular about the selection room design, color layout, and ornaments.
 
Our service center is divided into 2 types, namely the collection point and the service point. Collection point is the
customer service section to repair Tiphone hardware and software by collecting the devices which will then be sent to the nearest service point. The number of collection pointsare scattered according to the number of TS outlets. While the service point is a repair center for Tiphone hardware and software with comprehensive facilities, in which there are currently 161 outlets in Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Palembang, Surabaya, Semarang, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Makassar, Batam and Bali.  Tiphone Mobile Indonesia TELE

Content has grown to become one of the main focus in mobile phone sales. This can be seen from the competition between renowned brands that offer a wide range of applications in it. Retail Network


We have develop a very strong relationship with mobile operators, especially Telkom Group and mobile phone vendors. The relationship is built on a long-term commitment to set sales and marketing strategies together.

To establish a relationship of mutual synergy, the Company as an Authorized Dealer of Telkomsel has worked together to develop a retail network named Grapari and other retail store that providing not only starterpack and prepaid voucher but also offering our consumen mobile phone solution such as  communication and data services from Telkomsel.
