Campus History

University Of Gadjah Mada UGM was officially established on December 19, 1949 as a national university. Considered as one of the oldest universities in Indonesia, University Of Gadjah Mada UGM serves as a pillar of educational awakening in Indonesia, and purports to be a defender and disseminator of Pancasila. When it was founded, University Of Gadjah Mada UGM only had six faculties.

Now, University Of Gadjah Mada UGM has 18 Faculties, one Postgraduate School (S-2 and S-3), and one Vocational School. University Of Gadjah Mada UGM is one of the oldest universities in Indonesia, located at the Bulaksumur Yogyakarta Campus. Most of the faculties in the University Of Gadjah Mada UGM consist of several departments and study programs. The academic activities of University Of Gadjah Mada UGM are expressed in the form of the cornerstones of Tri Dharma higher educational values consisting of Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. 


The name of Gadjah Mada also had a special meaning, containing the spirit and good example of Prime Minister Gadjah Mada of the Majapahit Empire that was able to unify the Nusantara archipelago. This was interpreted into the formulation of identity of UGM as a national university, spirit of existence of the Republic of Indonesia, university of Pancasila, university of the people, and centre of culture university. In the initial period of establishment, UGM had 6 faculties, namely Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The early lectures were conducted in the Sitihinggil and Pagelaran compounds, employing rooms and facilities of the Kraton Palace in Yogyakarta. In 1951 physical construction of the Bulaksumur campus began and, entering the decade of 1960s, UGM already had facilities such as hospital, radio transmitter, and other facilities that supported student learning in addition to serving society's interests. Faculty of Agricultural Technology

Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering is a leading department engaged in teaching, research, and extension activities in the various field of agricultural and biosystem engineering. The mission of our department is to run the undergraduate and postgraduate program by applying science and technology in the field of agricultural and biosystem engineering to support the development of the sustainability of tropical agriculture. The goals of our department are to create a curriculum for the undergraduate and postgraduate level which is in line with technological developments in the field of agriculture and biosystem engineering, as well as to implement the learning process to develop Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering professionals with technical proficiency and a sense of social responsibility.

The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering offered Bachelor program in Agricultural Engineering for 8 semesters duration, Master program in Agricultural Engineering for 4 semesters duration, and Doctoral program in Agricultural Engineering Science for 6 semesters duration.

The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering has 5 (five) prominent laboratories namely Energy and Agricultural Machinery Laboratory, Land and Water Resource Engineering Laboratory, Postharvest and Food Engineering Laboratory, Biophysics Engineering Laboratory, as well as Farm Structure Environment Engineering Laboratory.

All undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the Department of Agricultural and Biosystem Engineering gained A for accreditation conducted by the Indonesian National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education. Teaching is conducted in small class sizes and all classes taught by department members not teaching assistants. Public lectures on special courses other than specified in the curriculum are conducted frequently to enrich students with new technological knowledge. Summer course and exchange student programs are also available to provide an international atmosphere for students. After graduating from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, students can work as a professional, scientist, engineer, manager, and entrepreneur.

Bank Artha Graha Internasional domiciled in South Jakarta was originally established under the name PT Inter-Pacific Financial Corporation based on Deed No. 12 dated 7 September 1973, made before Bagijo, SH, successor to Eliza Pondaag, SH, at that time Notary in Jakarta, with the scope business as a non-bank financial institution, which was approved by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia with Decree Number YA5 / 2/12 dated January 3, 1975, and was announced in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 dated January 21, 1975 Supplement Number 47.

On August 23, 1990, PT Inter-Pacific Financial Corporation listed its shares on the Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya Stock Exchange.

Based on Deed No. 67 dated May 19, 1992, made before Adam Kasdarmadji, SH, at that time the Notary in Jakarta, and was announced in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 dated February 2, 1993 Supplement Number 591, PT Inter-Pacific Financial Corporation changed its name to PT Inter-Pacific Bank. On February 24, 1993, PT Inter-Pacific Bank obtained a business license as a commercial bank with Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 176 / KMK.017 / 1993.

Based on Deed Number 44 dated June 13, 1997 in conjunction with Deed Number 8 dated January 15, 1998, both were made before Sri Nanning, SH, at that time a Notary in Jakarta, and was announced in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 70 dated September 1, 1998 Supplement Number 5056, PT InterPacific Bank changed its name to PT Bank Inter-Pacific, Tbk.

On April 9, 1999, PT Bank Inter-Pacific, Tbk submitted a request for delisting of shares on the Surabaya Stock Exchange, and on April 19, 1999, the Surabaya Stock Exchange gave its approval for the application for the cancellation of the listing.

On April 14, 2005, PT Bank Inter-Pacific Tbk signed the Deed of Merger Number 17, made before Imas Fatimah, S.H., at that time a Notary in Jakarta, where PT Bank Artha Graha merged into PT Bank Inter-Pacific Tbk. The merger has received permission from Bank Indonesia Number 7/32 / KEP. GBI / 2005 dated June 15, 2005, and took effect on July 11, 2005.

Based on Deed No. 27 dated July 12, 2005, made before Imas Fatimah, S.H., at that time the Notary was in Jakarta, and had obtained a permit from Bank Indonesia by Decree of the Governor of Bank Indonesia Number 7/49 / KEP. GBI / 2005 dated 16 August 2005, PT Bank Inter-Pacific Tbk changed its name to Bank Artha Graha Internasional, which was announced in the Republic of Indonesia State Gazette Number 101 dated 19 December 2006, Supplement Number 13128.

Current Account Loans

Product Definition:

Current Account Loans are loans where the loan ceiling is stated in the debtor's checking account in accordance with the agreement between the Bank and the debtor based on the Credit / Debt Recognition Agreement. This type of loan is generally used to finance the working capital of debtors on a daily basis.

Advantages:

Debtors are free to withdraw or repay loans using checks, crossed checks or other transfer documents during the validity period of the credit agreement and the withdrawal does not cross the loan ceiling. And ceiling facilities that have not been drawn do not incur interest.

Revolving Loan

Product Definition:

Revolving Loans are loans for permanent working capital financing, the amount of which is reflected in the company's cash flow. Withdrawals of funds in accordance with the needs of the debtor using Promissory Notes / Promissory Notes, on condition that they do not exceed the agreed ceiling amount between the Bank and the debtor. The loan portion that has been repaid can be withdrawn according to the ceiling is still sufficient and the credit period is still valid (maximum 1 year and not closed for extended return).

Advantages:

Short-term loan period of 1 (one) year but can be extended again.
