PT Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk ("WOM Finance") Established in 1982 under the name PT Jakarta Tokyo Leasing engaged in motorcycle financing, specifically financing for Honda motorcycles. The Company changed its name to PT Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha in Year 2000 in line with business transformation. The Company continues to expand and not only serve Honda motorcycle financing but also finance other Japanese motorcycles, such as Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki.
The Company obtains an effective statement from the Financial Services Authority / OJK (d / h Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency / Bapepam-LK) to conduct an Initial Public Offering. On the occasion, the Company offered 200,000,000 (two hundred million) shares at par value of Rp100, - (one hundred Rupiah) per share and offering price of Rp700 (seven hundred Rupiah) per share. These shares have been listed on PT Bursa Efek Jakarta and PT Bursa Efek Surabaya (now called PT Bursa Efek Indonesia) on December 13, 2014.
In 2005, the Company became a member of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (PT Bank International Indonesia Tbk) business group after PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk acquired 43% (forty three percent) ownership of the Company's shares
In 2015, the Company exercises rights issue through a Limited Public Offering, in which PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk acts as a standby buyer. In this right issue, the Company issued 1,481,481,480 (one billion four hundred eighty one million four hundred and eighty one thousand four hundred eighty) new shares. Then the share ownership of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk in the Company changed to 68.55% (sixty eight point fifty five percent).
