Through our vision and mission, PT Trans Power Marine Tbk, continues to grow and prosper and is dedicated to providing added value for our customers and stakeholders through our reliable services. To achieve sustainable business growth, TPM is supported by approximately 100 employees and 500 crews who are highly skilled marine professionals.


We currently own, operate and manage more than 60 sets of tugs and barges and several floating cranes. At TPM, we take on the responsibility of managing the logistics scope of our clients’ business so that they can focus on their core business. We believe in maintaining open communication with our clients so as to provide a mutually beneficial partnership. Our main aim is to provide a sustainable and long-term profit for our customers in the face of a fast changing business environment.


TPM strongly believes that our people are our asset. We therefore encourage a culture of continuous training of skill sets and strive to create a safe working environment for everyone. Personnel undertake regular training to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest marine standards and skills so as to provide our clients with an all rounded service and experience.

By maintaining high HSE standards, TPM aim to meet our clients’ expectations. We work continually to reduce the number of incidents to zero and to keep risk to personnel, equipment, local communities and the environment to as low as reasonably practical. TPM also has the International Safety Management (ISM) Code certification and this is applied to all our fleet.

CSR
TPM participate and contribute either directly or indirectly in improving the lives of local people and contribute to the economic growth, especially in the areas which the Company operates including Banjarmasin, Tarakan, Kumai, Cilacap and Cilegon.Some of the CSR programs of TPM participate in include :
  • Significantly contribute to the improvement of the livelihood of local communities, such as providing basic food assistance to residents; provide scholarships and school supplies to local schools.

Tug and  Barge 

PM has operate more than 60 sets of tug and barge for the transportation of bulk cargo such as coal, woodchips, clinker, sponge rotary kiln (srk) etc. 

TPM BUSINESS PROCESS 
  1. Inter island: Loading the cargo and carried to other island or other country 
  2. Transhipment: Loading the cargo and carried to the mother vessel

Loading
Barge are pulled by tug boats alongside the loading port based on the instruction / guidance from the customer. The loading process is done according to barg capacity with safety and prevailling regulation. After ensuring the loading of the barges are safe and feasible to sail, the tug boat pull the barges out of the port for enabling them to sail onwards to their next port destination. 
Sailing
Barges are pulled by tugboats and sail to the destination port or mother vessel as agreed with the customer. During the sailing, the tugboat's crew report to the head office, and the head office will pass this report to customers. 

Discharging

Ther are two kinds of discharging process based on destinations:
  1. Discharging to Mother vessel. Barges are pulled by tugboat, carrying the goods from loading port to mother vessel that waiting at the river or seashore and the goods transferred from barges to mother vessel using the floating crane. 
  2. Discharging to port. This method can be both in domestic and regional territories. This shipping method called inter island. Trans Power Marine TPMA

We own and operate several Crane Barges with loading capacity from 18.000 - 24.000 MT/day 


TPM has two crane barges which has the services to unload the bulk materials from barges to anchored mother vessels in transshipment operation. Currently the two Crane Barge services two kind of cargo materials which is coal and woodchips.  Trans Power Marine TPMA
