Decade of 1980

The company was founded in Bandung on June 25, 1979 under the name "PT Asuransi Jasa Tania" based on the notarial deed of Kartini Muljadi, SH which was announced in an additional State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia dated 30 / 10-1979 no 87. Initially the Company's operational activities were limited to PT Perkebunan I - XXIX with a network of 5 Branch Offices and 1 Representative Office.

Along with the development of business activities, in 1987 the Company has changed its name to "PT Asuransi Jasa Tania", and moved its domicile from Bandung to Jakarta.

Decade of 1990

In an effort to provide better services to the wider community, in this period the Company added operational networks to 7 Branch Offices and 2 Representative Offices. During this Decade the Company has developed its target market in the banking sector, State-Owned Enterprises and Private-Owned Enterprises.

Decade of 2000

In the decade of 2000 the Company underwent a major change by going public into a public company in 2003 so that the name of the Company changed to "PT Asuransi Jasa Tania, Tbk". To support operations, the Company has expanded its distribution network to 8 Branch Offices and 4 Marketing Offices as well as using online systems throughout the office network to improve services to customers.

Decade of 2010

In 2013 the Company re-branding the logo and changing the Corporate Image as an effort to develop the Company's brand image. The products offered are increasingly varied by developing retail products such as JT Oto, JT Griya, JT Care, Livestock Insurance, and Plantation Crop Insurance. In 2015, the Company undertook a Corporate Action by splitting the nominal value of shares to increase the number of outstanding shares (stock split), as well as developing a distribution network by expanding market coverage through 13 Branch Offices and 10 Marketing Offices.

2019

Money Storage Insurance

About Indonesian Depository Insurance Standard Products (PSAPUI) Coverage that provides protection for loss of money as long as the money is stored in a safe or in accordance with the provisions of the policy.

Coverage Criteria

Valid for every deposit in Indonesia.

Coverage Period

The period of coverage is in accordance with the agreement of the prospective insured.

Guaranteed Risk

This insurance guarantees loss of money from the Depository as a result of theft carried out by another party, including theft accompanied by violence / slaughter or destruction of the Depository.
This coverage also guarantees damage to the Depository as a result of theft or attempted theft by another party as high as Rp. 10,000,000 (ten million rupiah).

Money Transfer Insurance

Coverage that provides protection for loss of money during the protection of money lost for money as long as the money is sent from one place to the destination in accordance with the provisions of the policy.

Valid for every money transfer in Indonesia.

Coverage Period

The period of coverage is in accordance with the agreement of the prospective insured.

Guaranteed Risk

  • This insurance guarantees the loss of money incurred in the future shipments made from one place to another, as a result of actions theft that is preceded or accompanied or followed by violence or threats violence committed by other parties against an authorized Money bearer to bring money.

Construction Project Insurance

Construction Project Insurance is a policy that provides coverage that provides protection for loss and or physical damage to a development project (both dry civil works and wet civil works), as well as losses experienced by third parties due to loss and or physical damage to the project.

Coverage Criteria

  1. Construction projects that are located in dry and wet areas (the type of project that involves in direct or direct contact with river, sea or lake water).
  2. Valid for construction in the territory of Indonesia

Coverage Period

The period of coverage is as required in the Work Contract.

Guaranteed Risk

Part I:

  • Material damage to civil project construction as a result of failure or loss due to the failure of a development project.
  • The guarantor will also reimburse debris disposal costs due to claims that receive compensation (the price of coverage is separate as stated in the Policy Summary)
  • Extension of collateral that can be chosen by the insured, including:
    Additional costs for overtime, night work, work on public holidays, express freight costs are guaranteed under this insurance only if previously and specifically agreed in writing by the Insurer.

Part II:

  • Bodily injury or illness due to an accident suffered by a third party (both severe / dead
    or not)
  • Loss or damage due to accidents on property belonging to third parties.
  • Costs and expenses incurred to the Insured whose events are directly related to the work insured in Part 1 and occurred at or around the project site during the Period of Coverage.

Freight Transportation Insurance

Freight Insurance for Freight business lines, both for cargo through water or land. This product provides 3 guarantee options, namely Guarantee One, Guarantee Two, and Guarantee Three.

Coverage Criteria

Which can be insured in this insurance is the cargo ship or land vehicle, which meets the provisions of the policy.

Coverage Period

The period of coverage is in accordance with the agreement of the prospective insured.

Guaranteed Risk

This policy provides 3 (three) guarantee options:

A. Guarantee One

This coverage guarantees loss, damage and responsibility for the insured goods and or interests, except for the risks stipulated in Articles 4, 5, 6 and 7 (PSAPBI Chapter II: Exceptions).

B. Guarantee Two

Cover all losses guaranteed in Guarantee Three, plus losses or damage due to:

  • Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or lightning
  • The fall of the goods to the sea because of the waves swept away
  • Entry of sea water, lake water, river water into the hold, container, liftvan, or landfill in on the ship causing damage to the property of the insured
  • Total loss on a package of goods that occurs during unloading / loading of goods

C. Guarantee Three

This insurance covers the following losses, except for risks as stipulated in Articles 4, 5, 6 and 7 (PSAPBI Chapter II: Exceptions):

3.1. loss or damage to the insured property which reasonably results from:

3.1.1. Fire or detonation;
3.1.2. Shipwrecked, stranded, sunk or reversed;
3.1.3. Land transportation equipment collision or impact, overturned or exited rail;
3.1.4 colliding ships with ships, collisions or collisions with other objects except water;
3.1.5 disassembly of goods at the emergency port;

3.2. loss or damage to the insured goods caused by:

3.2.1. Sacrifice for general losses at sea (general average sacrifice);
3.2.2. jettison;

Guaranteed Risk

Provide guarantees for loss or damage to property and or insured interests that are directly caused by hazards caused by:

  • Earthquake
  • Volcanic eruptions
  • Fire and explosion that follows the earthquake and or volcanic eruption
  • A tsunami.

Fire insurance

Provides collateral for property against damage or loss caused by Fire, Lightning, Explosion, Aircraft Fall, and Smoke.

Coverage Criteria

Which can be insured in this insurance is the building (building), machinery (machinery), merchandise (stock), the contents or furniture and other building equipment (content).

Coverage Period

The period of coverage is in accordance with the agreement of the prospective insured.

Guaranteed Risk

Provide guarantees for loss or damage to property and or insured interests that are directly caused by:

  • FIRE, caused by carelessness or mistakes of the Insured or other party, or due to other fire as long as it is not excluded in the Policy. It also guarantees fires caused by events set out in the policy.
  • Lightning, which is damage directly caused by lightning.
  • EXPLOSION, originating from assets insured on this Policy or other policies that run concurrently with this Policy for the benefit of the same Insured.
  • AIRPLANE FALL, which is guaranteed in this policy is a physical collision between an aircraft including a helicopter or anything that falls from it with insured property and or interests or with a building containing insured property and or interests.
  • ASAP, originating from the fire of assets insured in this Policy or other policies that run concurrently with this Policy for the benefit of the same Insured.
  • Other risks that are regulated in the policy.
