Founded in 1983 as PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi (the Emtek Group), a company providing personal computer services, the Emtek Group has evolved into a modern, integrated group of companies with three main business divisions: Media, Telecommunications and IT Solutions, and Connectivity.

The Media Division consists of three television channels: SCTV, Indosiar, and O Channel. SCTV is one of Indonesia’s leading nationwide free-to-air channels with audiences in excess of 160 million viewers in more than 240 cities across the country. Indosiar is one of the leading national free to air television channel in Indonesia. The Jakarta-based O Channel provides free-to-air lifestyle and entertainment programming for the capital.

The Solutions Division provides a range of infrastructure and information, communication and technology solutions for the telecommunication, banking and retail payment industries,

including service solutions for integrated VSAT, smart card infrastructure and the retail distribution of telecommunications services.

The Connectivity Division consists of new initiatives under development in TV and internet services, including a wireless digital pay-TV service for the greater Jakarta area, and a wireless broadband internet service for the greater Jakarta and Surabaya areas.

The Emtek Parent Company conduct an Initial Public Offering (IPO) of 10% of its fully paid-up capital on the Indonesian Stock Exchange on 12 January 2010 to raise funds for futher investment in its business.

2019

  • EMTEK Group through PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), participated share in PT Benson Media Kreasi (“Samara”). Samara is engaged in offline events, influencer marketing, and talent management. In 2019, Samara held IDEAFEST 2019 carrying the theme “Age of Pride” from 3 to 6 October 2019. IDEAFEST 2019 comprised of 130 sessions and was attended by more than 250 speakers from home and abroad. 
  • Moreover, EMTEK through its subsidiary PT Mediatama Televisi, launched NEX PARABOLA direct-to-home (DTH) pay television in 2019. NEXPARABOLA is an affordable satellite based DTH platform able to broadcast to viewers in urban and rural areas. NEX PARABOLA broadcasts Liga 1, Liga 2, UEFA Champions League, UEFA European League, and EFL Championship through Champions TV.
  • EMTEK Group through PT Screenplay Bumilangit Produksi, EMTEK produced Gundala, the first big-budget superhero movie in Indonesia, and the first instalment in the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe (BCU).  The One Indonesia Charity Concert

PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (Emtek) is holding an One Indonesia Charity Concert that is broadcast live on SCTV, Indosiar, O Channel and Vidio.com with involving 300 celebrities.

The One Indonesia Charity Concert collected donations from viewers of Rp2,804,786,624. Since March 2020, Emtek Group through SCTV and Indosiar, BukaLapak users and Liputan6.com readers have succeeded in collecting donations from the community reaching Rp12,515,173,734 through Emtek Cares Corona activities.

While the acquisition from the sponsors of One Indonesia Charity Concert amounted to Rp6,350,000,000, all of which were offered by Emtek Group to help overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

All donations from viewers, sponsors, and all profits collected from One Indonesia Charity Concert were handed over to the Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation for the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The One Indonesia Charity Concert was held as a form of Emtek Group's high appreciation of the nation's heroes in fighting Covid-19. They included the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the BNPB, the Central Government, the Regional Government, the medical team, the TNI, the Indonesian National Police and all levels of society who obeyed the government's recommendations.

SCM is the sub-holding of Emtek’s media division. SCM owns several subsidiaries engaged in broadcasting and content businesses.

SCM was established in 1999 under the name PT Citra Aneka Selaras and later changed its name to PT Surya Citra Media in 2001. In 2002, SCM conducted Initial Public Offering (IPO) and was listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange with ticker code SCMA.

SCM possesses solid in-house production capabilities that have effectively and efficiently led SCTV and Indosiar as the top 3 national FTA channels controlling around 30% of national audience share.

PT Screenplay Sinema Film (SSF) 

 

To support the development of the movie industry, particularly big screen movie, SSF was established 2015. SSF engages in services for movie production and distribution. SSF has emerged as producer of top-grossing Indonesian local movies (motion pictures).

Its early released movie, Magic Hours has successfully become the Top 5 most-watched Indonesian Movie in 2015 with more than 850,000 audiences. London Love Story, SSF’s second movie, has gained more success with above 1.12 million audiences and earned the label of Top 4 most-watched Indonesian movie on 2016. PT Screenplay Produksi (Screenplay)


 

Established in 2010, Screenplay was Emtek’s first subsidiary dedicated to produce TV content and it has showed positive results. Currently, Screenplay has produced many high-rated and award-winning programs including FTV (TV movies) as well as drama series of various genres, mainly for teens and upper-class segments. Most notable drama series include Putih Abu-Abu, Diam-Diam Suka, and Love in Paris.

PT Sinemart Indonesia (Sinemart) 


Sinemart was established in 2003. As a leading in the Indonesian film industry, Sinemart is growing rapidly with a portfolio of more than 150 program titles for television and has succeeded producing more than 20 feature films.

PT Indonesia Entertainmen Produksi (IEP) 


IEP was also established in 2015 as one of IEG’s subsidiaries. IEP focuses on managing production of in-house content for Emtek’s national FTAs (SCTV and Indosiar) flagship programs.

Some of IEP’s high-rated programs are D’ Academy, Infotainment Awards, SCTV Music Awards, and Bintang Pantura.

PT Indonesia Entertainmen Studio (IES) 


IES was established in 2015 as one of IEG’s subsidiaries. IES focuses on leasing and managing broadcast and movie production equipment and facilities.

Currently, IES manages more than 60,000 sqm studio facilities supporting Emtek’s content production activities.

PT Kapan Lagi Dot Com Networks (KLY) 

 

KLY is the largest media network in Indonesia that presents unlimited solutions and multi platforms. KLY aims to establish and maintain relationship with internet users, build positive sentiment and maintain information credibility through independent news channels.

Vidio.com is one of the over the top (OTT) platforms for video which developed and integrated with all content owned by the EMTEK Group.

The Emtek Group is committed to maintaining Good Corporate Governance (GCG) throughout the Group by applying and auditing the basic principles of transparency, accountability, social responsibility and independence. The Group imposes systems of supervision to ensure ethical and responsible decision making, integrity in financial reporting, prudent risk management, and appropriate employee and corporate conduct.

The required framework within the Group to implement and oversee these principles of GCG have been established.

The Board of Commissioners includes three Independent Commissioners and the Board of Directors includes one Independent Director. In compliance with prevailing capital market laws, the Company have also appointed a Head of Internal Audit Unit and a Company Secretary.

The identification and management of risk is key to the Emtek Group achieving its 

strategic objectives and delivering long term value to its shareholders. The scope of businesses in which we operate means that a range of factors may impact on our performance as a Group.
