PT Mahaka Media, Tbk was organized with the name PT Abdi Bangsa, Tbk, on 28 November 1992 with Deed No. 229, it was amended by the Deed No. 157 of 17 December 1992, both drawn up before Ny. S.P. Henny Shidki, S.H., Notary of Jakarta and has been approved by Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia with his his Letter of Decision No.C2-10310.HT.01.01.TH.92 of 19 December 1992 and published in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia No. 9/1993 of 29 January 1993, supplement No. 564/1993. On 4 January 1993, The Company incorporated Republika Daily, the first newspaper for the Moslem community in Indonesia. At the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders ( EGMS) convened on 4 May 2010, PT Abdi Bangsa Tbk was changed to PT Mahaka Media Tbk and it has been approved by Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia pursuant to the Decree No. AHU-24811.AH.01.02 of 17 May 2010.
Since the establishment of the Company, the Articles of Association of the Company has been amended several times . The last amendment of the Articles of Association of the Company is based on the Deed of Statement of General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) No. 27 of 28 June 2013 drawn up by Notary Zulkifli, S.H., Notary of Jakarta. The amendment to such Articles of Association has been approved by Minister of Law and Human Right of the Republic of Indonesia pursuant to the Decree No. AHU-AH.01.10-38620 of 13 September 2013, with the Company Register No. AHU-0087006.AH.01.09 of 13 September 2013. Jakarta, June 1, 2015, Mahaka Media is a public company that oversees the business unit of media such as 98.7 Gen FM, 101 Jak FM, Jak tv, Alif tv, Mahaka Advertising (outdoor media), Republika Publisher (book publishers), the Newspaper Republika, magazine Golf Digest Indonesia and Indonesian Parents Magazine. Mahaka media intensified in an effort to strengthen the brand in the middle of the competition among the media by developing both in terms of product and channel in order to improve the service as a solution to consumers and partners.
In order to celebrate the International Children which falls annually on June 1, Mahaka Media held an activity named Mahaka Kids in 2015 with the theme #BAJAKMEDIA. Mahaka and its business units this time to give a chance to place their work 'hijacked' by children aged 6-12 years and provide a venue for their expression.
On the Monday, June 1, 2015, the children took over broadcast at 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Jak FM and interact directly along Ronal & Tike, proceed to take over the activities in the office of Gen FM. Then the children tried as a reporter Republika where newspaper special edition children distributed in Indonesia round about at 07.00 to 08.00 and at 17.30 to 18.30 brought the program Trending Topic proceed to take over the What's News Evening at 6.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at Jak tv and learning to be a presenter at the Alif tv. It is more effective in providing knowledge and support children's cognitive development because it is done directly. This event was held as a form of concern Mahaka Media to education as well as the future development of children as the next generation.
