Established as PT Multi Investments Limited on 15 June 1971, SSIA has
since transformed into PT Surya Semesta Internusa (“SSIA”) in 1995.
SSIA’s main businesses encompass construction services, development of
industrial estate, commercial property and hospitality through
investment in subsidiaries.
SSIA’s diversified investment portfolio primarily includes Suryacipta
City of Industry, Gran Melia Jakarta Hotel, Melia Bali Villas & Spa
Resort, Banyan Tree Ungasan Resort - Bali and BATIQA Hotels.
Having built property businesses for more than 40 years, SSIA has
earned brand recognition and positioned itself as one of the leading
developers in Indonesia. Completing its milestone as a leading company,
SSIA listed its shares at Indonesia Stock Exchange and became a

Serving as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner since
June 2008. He served as President Director of PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk
since 2009 and President Director of PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama
(“BUMA”) from June 2012 to 2014.
Before serving as President Director of BUMA, he served as President
Commissioner of BUMA from 2011 to 2012, and as Vice President
Commissioner from 2009 to 2010. Before occupying those aforementioned
posts, he served as President Director of PT United Tractors Tbk
in1999-2007 and as Commissioner in 2007-2009.
He also served as President Commissioner in 2001-2004 and as
Commissioner in 1998-2001 at Berau Coal. He served as Commissioner and
member of the Board of Commissioner in a number of companies such as PT
Pamapersada Nusantara (“PAMA”) in 1997-2007, PT Toyota Astra Motor
(2000-2002), PT Komatsu Indonesia (1998-2001), PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk
(1998-2000), and PT Astra Graphia Indonesia Tbk. (1999-2002). He also
served as Director of PT Astra International Tbk from 1992 to 2001. He
obtained his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Bandung

Our Social Responsibility Program aims to create improvements in the
social, educational and environmental preservation aspects, while
providing broad benefits particularly to the community around the
Company's business units. The Company's CSR activities are expected to
provide a positive value for enhancing the quality of life of the
community and being agents of social change through participation in
improving education and spiritual life, as well as being a pioneer of

To achieve a harmonious relationship between the Company and the
community, the Company continued to improve the implementation of CSR
programs so as to provide maximum results both for the environment, the
community and the Company.
The Company’s concern for the environment is realized in numerous
programs consistently executed in various project sites, particularly in
the headquarters and branch offices. Various CSR programs that foster
the creation of a harmonious living environment are carried out in the
fields of poverty eradication, housing development and construction of
sanitation facilities in rural areas, healthcare socialization and
assistance, maintenance of cleanliness in the environment including
beaches, and planting of trees. In addition, the Company had constructed
and maintained houses of worship, and provided donations to rural
communities and victims of natural disasters.
In order to maintain spiritual relationship between mankind and the
creator and good relationship among mankind, the Company’s hospitality
business units in Bali, MeliĆ” Bali Hotel and Banyan Tree Ungasan Resort,
are both committed to implementing the Tri Hita Karana, which is a
Balinese way of life that seeks to preserve the harmony between mankind
and the creator, mankind and nature, and mankind with each other. In

The corporate social responsibility in the field of employment,
occupational health & safety is an important factor that supports
work productivity. The Company implements and applies all aspects of
Occupational Health and Safety (K3) in accordance with applicable laws
and regulations.
The Company sees its employees as an asset that supports its business
sustainability and therefore occupational health and safety is the
Company’s main priority.
To this end, the Company continues to maintain the health of
employees by monitoring and initiating occupational health treatment by
conducting periodic or special health examination, providing health
information via the intranet, covering health treatment and medication
costs through health insurance financing system, and creating healthy

sustainability program that is part of the Company’s social care
program, which is carried out regularly.
On the educational front, the Company facilitates various educational
