PT. Summarecon Agung Tbk ("Summarecon") was founded in 1975 by
Mr. Soetjipto Nagaria and his associates to undertake real estate
construction and development. Starting with a 10-hectare of marsh land
in the then backwaters of Jakarta, the founders managed to transform
Kelapa Gading into one of the most affluent residential and commercial
areas in Jakarta.
And over the years Summarecon has built a
reputation as one of the leading property players in Indonesia,
especially in the development of townships. Summarecon develops
townships which integrates residential developments with commercial
developments that are supported with a wide and complete range of
amenities for the residents of the townships. Summarecon has developed
the expertise across the whole real estate value chain; encompassing

Property development is Summarecon's core business. The property
development business unit develops property products for sale such as
residential house, apartment, residential land plot and commercial
shoplot. These property projects are integral to the development of a
township's residential and commercial development, and include
supporting facilities such as education facilities, sports and
recreation, places of worship and healthcare facilities. Currently,
Summarecon is developing 5 (five) townships, namely Summarecon Kelapa Gading, Summarecon Serpong, Summarecon Bekasi, Summarecon Bandung, and Summarecon Emerald Karawang.
In each development area, Summarecon have a certain area that
allocated as business center, which there are shopping centers that
provide all facilities to fulfill the needs of modern urban society. The
residents and visitors will be able to shop, eat and enjoy recreation
in the shopping center with full comfort.
Summarecon currently owns 250,000 m2 of retail space in Sentra Kelapa Gading and Sentra Gading Serpong, and a new shopping center of 80.000 m2 in Sentra Bekasi in June 2013, bringing the total shopping area to 380.000 m2.
