We, at Asia Pacific Fibers, started spinning tales of
progress along with our partners and customers more than 3 decades ago.
It is this experience of collaborating with our customers and creating
solutions, that helps us to face the future with confidence in our
abilities and in our relationships.
In 1984 We started as Polysindo Eka Perkasa as a manufacturer
and marketer of polyester chips, fibers and filament yarns. After the
seminal step of setting up a filament yarn manufacturing plant at
Semarang in Central Java, Indonesia, we focused on continuous
improvements in infrastructure to increase productivity. Concomitantly,
we expanded our portfolio significantly leading to high and growing
demand for our products in Indonesian and International markets. In the
1990's, we initiated upstream plant expansions by setting up a PTA
manufacturing plant and a polyester fiber manufacturing plant at
Karawang in West Java, Indonesia.
In 1997 We were firmly established as Indonesia's leading polyester
manufacturer. Since then, we have added capacities, applied
technologies, innovated processes and products and have serviced markets
across the globe. Today our polyester manufacturing facilities have a
capacity of producing 330,000 MT per year, thereby making us one of the
largest, polyester producer in Indonesia. Yet, meaningful and continual
change has been our DNA.
On 2nd Desember 2009 We evolved from being PT Polysindo Eka Perkasa Tbk to becoming PT Asia
Pacific Fibers Tbk, reflecting the increasing global market reach of the
company combined with a strong recovery of market share and corporate
performance in recent years despite complex market conditions.
Using our legacy as a foundation, we at Asia Pacific Fibers, will
continue to strive for excellence in all our pursuits confidently into
the future. Our legacy has been made possible due to innumerable
