Barito Pacific (BRPT)
Barito Pacific was established on April
14, 1979 under the name of PT Bumi Raya Pura Mas Kalimantan which
subsequently changed to PT Barito Pacific in 2007. In 1993, Barito
Pacific became a publicly listed company and it has now transformed into
an integrated energy company with multiple power and industrial assets.
The Company’s core businesses operate in
power generation and petrochemical production, with industrial assets
in sectors that are renewable and resource-oriented with significant
growth potential through business diversification and vertical
integration.
In 2007, the Company acquired majority
ownership interest in CAP, and in 2008 it acquired PT Tri Polyta
Indonesia Tbk., which further merged in 2011 and become PT Chandra Asri
Petrochemical Tbk. CAP is the largest and only integrated petrochemical
company in Indonesia with current total production capacity of 3,458
KTPA.
In June 2018, Barito Pacific acquired
majority ownership in Star Energy, the largest geothermal company in
Indonesia and third largest in the world, with 875MW of installed
capacity.
The Company is also engaged in a Joint
Venture company with a subsidiary of PT Indonesia Power, a wholly-owned
subsidiary of PLN, to develop 2 x 1,000MW Ultra Super Critical class
power plant (Java 9 & 10), one of the most energy efficient and
environmentally friendly coal technology in the market.
Our property business, which is operated
through GI and its subsidiaries, is engaged in the investment and
development of commercial and industrial properties that support our
