In 1941, they formulated the Wind Refreshing Herb, which at the time used the name Seven Wind Herbs. During the second Dutch colonial war in 1949, they fled to Semarang and established a herbal medicine business under the name Sido Muncul, which means "dream come true". On Jalan Mlaten Trenggulun No. 104 that, the home-based herbal medicine business began with the assistance of three employees.

In 1970, a limited partnership was formed under the name CV Sido Muncul Herbal & Pharmaceutical Industry. Then in 1975, the business form of the herbal medicine industry was changed to a Limited Liability Company under the name of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmaceutical Sido Muncul, where all the businesses and assets of CV Sido Mamu Herbal and Pharmaceutical Industry were combined, and continued by this limited liability company.
During its development, the factory located on Jl.Mlaten Trenggulun was no longer able to meet the increasingly large production capacity. Because of the higher market demand, making the second generation of the founder of PT Sido Appear Desy Sulistio, decided to move the factory to the Small Industrial Environment on Jalan Kaligawe Semarang in 1984.
Then began the construction of a factory equipped with modern facilities, so that it could develop rapidly as it is today, and become a pioneer of herbal medicine companies with pharmaceutical standards.
In anticipation of future progress, Sido Muncul felt the need to build a bigger and modern factory, so in 1997 the groundbreaking of the construction of a new factory in Klepu, Ungaran, by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and witnessed by the Director General of Drug and Food Control at that time .
The new factory located in Klepu, Bergas sub-district, Ungaran with an area of around 30 hectares was inaugurated by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Indonesia, on November 11, 2000. During the inauguration of the factory, Sido Muncul received two certificates at once, namely Good Manufacturing Practices for Traditional Medicines. (CPOTB) and Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) are equivalent to pharmaceuticals. This certificate makes Sido Appear as the only pharmaceutical standard herbal medicine factory. The factory location itself consists of factory buildings covering an area of around 8 hectares and the rest is a supporting area for the factory environment
