Bank MNC International (known as the MNC Bank brand, once named Bank Bumiputera in 1990-2009 and Bank ICB Bumiputera in 2009-2014, IDX: BABP) is an Indonesian company in the form of a limited liability company and is engaged in banking financial services. This bank was established on July 31, 1989 as a commercial bank named Bank Bumiputera by AJB Bumiputera 1912, the oldest insurance company in Indonesia.
In 2002, Bank Bumiputera went public and registered its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the stock code "BABP". During 2004-2007 after several share transfers, ICB Financial Group Holdings (ICBFGH), a business group of several banks with global operations in 14 countries, became the majority shareholder. In 2009, Bank Bumiputera officially changed its name to Bank ICB Bumiputera with a new logo and corporate identity.
Bank ICB Bumiputera won awards and recognition such as the Trusted Company on Corporate Governance Perception Index in 2010, the Most Attractive Bank from Warta Ekonomi magazine in 2011.
PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk began acquiring ICB Bumiputera shares in March 2014 and increased the number of ownership to 35.08% as of 31 August 2014. On 22 July 2014, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) determined that MNC Kapital Indonesia had passed the due diligence and propriety and approval to become a controlling shareholder in Bank ICB Bumiputera. Bank ICB Bumiputera completed a Limited Public Offering III for the issuance of Pre-emptive Rights (HMETD) in August 2014 and managed to obtain a fund of Rp805 billion. After that, the category of Bank ICB Bumiputera increased from Book 1 (equity less than Rp1 trillion) to Book 2 (equity between Rp1 trillion but less than Rp5 trillion).
