Emdeki Utama
PT Emdeki Utama Tbk (the Company) is a company founded in 1981 by the founders of the group PT Metropolitan Development to produce Calcium Carbide (Calcium Carbide - CaC2) with the aim of import substitution which at that time came from the countries of South Africa, China, Poland and Taiwan with an average of 25,000 tons with a value of U $ 8.75 million per year from 1984 to 1986.
With a factory located on 14 hectares of land in Driyorejo Gresik, PT Emdeki Utama Tbk began its trial production on November 10, 1987, followed by commercial production beginning on February 1, 1988. Over the next two years it gained full community trust, resulting in full community trust. most of the needs of carbide in Indonesia have been met by the production of PT Emdeki Utama Tbk.
