1931
First established as Nederlandsch-Indische Bierbrouwerijen. The company
began its commercial operations on 21 November 1931 in Surabaya Brewery
and produced Java Bier which was the origins of Bir Bintang.
1936
Heineken Group became the main shareholder of the company that was renames Heineken Indische Bierbrouwerijen Maatchhappij
1949
After the World War II, the brewery resumed operation and introduced Heineken Beer in the market.
1965
The company was taken over the Government during the nationalization campaign in Indonesia
1967
Heineken regained ownership and the brand ‘Bintang Baru’ was born
1972
The company was renamed PT Perusahaan Bir Indonesia
1973
Tangerang brewery commenced operation
1981
The company went public, listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya Stock Exchange as PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk
1982
Multi Bintang produce Green Sands
1997
Relocated brewing operations in Surabaya to Sampang Agung where a new brewery was built
2005
Established PT Multi Bintang Indonesia Niaga in charge of sales and marketing
2013
Tangerang brewery completed its technical upgrade and marked as 40th operated in Tangerang
2014
Establishment of the third production facility for Non-Alcoholic
Beverages Plant in Sampang Agung and launched product innovation,
Bintang Radler Lemon.
2015
Introducing new Corporate Identity, The Spark and introducing new variants of Bintang Radler, Bintang Radler Grapefruit.
2016
Series of product innovation on non-alcohol beverages launched, such as
Bintang Radler 0,0%, Bintang Maxx 0,0%, malt based fine soda, Fayrouz,
new variants of Green Sands (Lychee & Lime, Grape & Lime) also
entry into Cider market in Indonesia with the launched of Strongbow, the
world’s leading cider brand.
2017
Launching two products innovation: Heineken Light, an Award Winning
Premium Low Alcohol Beer, and the newest variant of Bintang Radler,
